Terms of service
Terms for using UnInquizitive
Effective and last updated August 13, 2026
Who may use the service
You must be at least 13 and legally able to accept these terms. Anyone under 13 must not use the service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must approve your use when required by law. You must have lawful access to every Norton account and course you use with the extension.
What the service does
UnInquizitive is a browser extension and online service that can navigate supported InQuizitive pages, select and submit answers, adjust supported timing and completion settings, and run one or more assignments at your direction. Features depend on Norton page access and may change when Norton changes its site.
UnInquizitive is independent from W. W. Norton, your school, and your instructor. It does not provide Norton course access, registration codes, or a Norton subscription. Any Norton purchase or access requirement is separate.
Academic and account responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether your use follows your course, school, employer, and instructor rules. You accept responsibility for grades, submissions, deadlines, account actions, and consequences caused by your choices. We do not guarantee a grade, completion result, uninterrupted access, or acceptance by a third party.
Accounts, identity, and licenses
Sign-in-less accounts are connected to the Norton identity active on the supported page. A license may be used on multiple devices, including a borrowed device, only while the licensed Norton identity is active. You may not transfer, sell, share, or use a license for another person's Norton identity.
Free and paid usage is controlled by plan limits, expiration, authorized assignment history, and feature access. A new assignment may consume one use when it is first authorized. A rerun of that already authorized assignment normally does not consume another use. See the License Terms for the software permission and restrictions.
Course syncing and reminders
Course syncing is part of the core service and begins after you complete the first-run disclosure. It automatically stores course and assignment titles, status, due dates, grades when available, and scan timestamps for reminders, one-click assignment access, progress and workload summaries, recommendations, analytics, compatibility, and support. It cannot be disabled separately while using the extension. Uninstalling stops future scans but does not automatically delete information already stored; deletion requests are handled under the Privacy Policy.
Synced workload and due dates may be used to notify you about upcoming work, open the selected assignment, summarize your needs, and recommend a plan. Course data does not set an individual price or experiment assignment. Product-wide results may be used for randomized offer and price experiments; assignment uses only an internal user identifier, the plan, and an experiment revision.
Plans, prices, and billing
The current checkout page controls the product, price, term, usage allowance, and renewal choice you purchase. Randomized test cohorts may see different future offers or prices, and eligibility can differ by account history, but course workload does not select a cohort or set a price. The final amount and terms are shown before payment, and you will not be charged a different amount without your approval.
If checkout shows a renewal choice, your order summary states whether the purchase renews or ends after one term. You must select or confirm that choice before paying. Recurring plans continue at the displayed cadence and price until canceled or changed with legally required notice. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally takes effect at the end of the paid term. Online purchases can be managed or canceled through the billing portal. Billing is processed by Stripe, and taxes may be added where required.
Refund eligibility is governed by the Refund Policy. Canceling a subscription does not itself refund a completed charge.
UnInquizitive is the seller of UnInquizitive plans. Google, W. W. Norton, schools, and instructors do not sell or bill for these plans.
The person or business identified as the merchant in Stripe Checkout and on your receipt is the operator and your contracting seller. You confirm at checkout that you are legally able to make the purchase, or have required parent or guardian approval, and are authorized to use the payment method.
Trials, Starter, and referrals
A Norton identity may receive one UnInquizitive trial. Starter is a one-time introductory offer only while the account remains eligible. Buying another paid product can end Starter eligibility.
A referral is linked when a new user claims a trial with a valid referral code. The referrer receives the displayed bonus once, after the referred user either uses all trial assignments or completes a paid purchase. Only the first qualifying event awards the bonus. Self-referrals, duplicate identities, coordinated abuse, refunds, chargebacks, or other manipulation can void or reverse a reward. Bonus amounts may change for future referrals and are shown where the referral is offered.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use another person's account, course, identity, session, payment method, or license without permission.
- Share, resell, sublicense, or automate access for other people.
- Create repeat trials, self-refer, fabricate referrals, evade usage limits, or interfere with fraud controls.
- Probe, attack, overload, scrape, or bypass UnInquizitive security or access controls.
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the extension except where applicable law expressly allows it.
- Use the service for unlawful activity or to violate the rights of another person.
Suspension and changes
We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary for security, abuse, nonpayment, legal compliance, platform compatibility, or a violation of these terms. We may update, replace, or discontinue features. We will try to avoid unnecessary disruption and provide notice when practical.
Ownership
UnInquizitive and its original code, design, branding, and content remain owned by the operator and licensors. Your purchase grants access under the License Terms and does not transfer ownership. Norton names, pages, and course material belong to their respective owners.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the service is provided as available without warranties of uninterrupted operation, compatibility, accuracy, academic outcome, or fitness for a particular purpose. Third-party site changes, access restrictions, account action, or outages may prevent the extension from working.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, UnInquizitive is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, or consequential loss, lost grades, lost data, lost access, or lost profits. Aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid to UnInquizitive during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim. Rights that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.
Your responsibility to us
To the extent allowed by law, you will reimburse the operator for third-party claims and reasonable costs caused by your unlawful use, unauthorized account or payment access, license sharing, or material breach of these terms. This does not apply to a claim caused by the operator's own unlawful conduct, negligence, or willful misconduct, and it does not limit rights that cannot be waived.
Disputes and governing law
Before filing a formal claim, contact the operator with enough detail to investigate and allow 30 days for a good-faith resolution, unless urgent relief or applicable law permits otherwise. These terms are governed by the law of the operator's principal place of business, without overriding mandatory consumer protections where you live. A claim may be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction, including an eligible small-claims court. These terms do not create a mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver unless a separate, clearly disclosed agreement is accepted.
General contract terms
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by events outside reasonable control. The operator may assign these terms as part of a sale, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service; you may not transfer them without written permission. These terms, the License Terms, Privacy Policy, Refund Policy, and checkout disclosures are the complete agreement for the service. A delay in enforcing a term is not a waiver. Terms that by their nature should continue after termination survive.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here and may be shown for acceptance in the product. If part of these terms is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum necessary and the rest remains in effect.
